Are you an animal lover?

MAWS is a small local charity that helps and rehomes hundreds of unwanted pets each year. The society is run entirely by VOLUNTEERS. Although we are based in Maesteg, we work throughout South Wales to find good homes for cats, kittens, dogs and puppies. We also help people on low income with vet' bills and neutering their pets.

All this costs MONEY. Each year we need to raise at least £50,000 to continue our work. We do this through donations, and through our charity shops based in Maesteg & Nantymoel. We also organise fund raising events.

How can you help?

We need people to help in many different ways:

  • Perhaps you could help out in our charity shops, by supplying good quality clothing and Bric-a-Brac
  • Serve in our shops if you have an hour or two to spare
  • Help us run fund raising events
  • If that is not possible, you might like to make a donation to help us with our work
  • Become a member of our society for a minimum fee of just £2 per person
